The State of Alarm has caused the SEPE offices to be closed and not serve the public. So, these are the ways to contact the SEPE (State Public Employment Service).
Although the employment offices are not open to the public, SEPE workers are still processing people’s benefits. Some work from the SEPE offices and Provincial Directorates and others are teleworking from their own home.

Make an appointment on the Internet
You can do it online by filling out a simple form with personal data and a contact telephone or email. This request reaches the employment offices and in a few days, a SEPE manager will call or send an email to the worker to help them personally. This appointment is requested at the SEPE Electronic Office.
Benefits inquiry form
The SEPE suggests that this channel should be only used for general queries on unemployment benefits, not for filing claims or complaints, but there are people who, after more than a month of waiting for answers, have only obtained them after using this channel. It is available in the SEPE contact form section.
Benefits pre-application form
It should be used when it is clear that an unemployment benefit or subsidy is going to be requested due to the end of a contract or dismissal, not to submit queries or cases relating ERTEs. Some basic information is filled in and when the SEPE manager receives it, they will contact the worker to confirm the request. Access the benefit pre-application form on the SEPE webpage.
Information number to contact the SEPE
Out of the three options already mentioned, calling the official number 900812400 is the most convenient one. You get directly in touch with a manager who can answer your query at that very moment.
The problem is that these days the telephone service lines are very saturated, but there is no other option than to try and, if you still cannot communicate with the SEPE offices, go to option number one, making an online appointment.
The telephone service hours for inquiries about ERTE benefits are from 08:00 to 20:00. For the offices processing benefits, these hours vary from one to another. Normally it is from 9:00 to 14:00, but there are variations depending on the offices. You can check their network of offices here.
In addition to their general number for consultation (900812400), there are provincial information telephones, also official and with the cost of calling a normal landline. You must call the province where the worker resides.

The SEPE insists that they are responding to all contact requests following the order of their arrival, but they urge not to use several channels at the same time for the same problem (for example, making a phone call, sending a query through the online form and at the same time requesting an appointment) since this complicates the management procedure and results in not being able to process the requests as quickly as possible.
