Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, new measures have been enabled to access the Social Security online services, aiming to solve urgent procedures without the need for prior authentication on the website. Among these is allowing the presentation of urgent and non-postponable requests, documents, and notifications to be processed by the Provincial Directorates of each of the managing entities (TGSS, INSS, and ISM) only by providing their personal data and contact information.

This specific channel is enabled for those citizens who do not have a digital certificate or are registered on the Cl@ve Platform since they can and must continue to access the procedures they wish to carry out through the Social Security Electronic Office.

This is a provisional measure, derived from the closure of the Social Security offices to the public, and which will be maintained for the duration of the State of Alarm caused by the COVID-19 health crisis.

How does the mailbox work? And how can I access it?

This channel is accessible from the homepage of the Social Security Electronic Office where you can directly access the forms authorized by the INSS, the TGSS, and the ISM (Presentation of documents, forms, and applications).

Once the citizen accesses it, an explanatory page is displayed about the use of this service, warning of its provisional nature and the need to submit only urgent documents. In addition, if the application involves the presentation of a specific form, you will find a link to look for and download the one you need.

Essential data for the form

In the form, the citizen must fill in the following fields:

  • NIF/NIE
  • Name and surname
  • Telephone number
  • Email
  • Subject
  • Text with the description of the document, request, or notification
  • The entity to which it is directed
  • Province where you want to carry out the procedure
  • Extra documentation to attach
  • Security question (to verify that it is a person)

If you make a request, do not forget to send a copy of your DNI or identification document and other supporting documentation, and, if possible, in a single submission to facilitate its processing.

If you do not have any necessary documents to process your request, you can replace them with a declaration of liability. You can use the Social Security sample enabled for this purpose.

It is recommended that you check that you have correctly filled in the telephone number and email fields since this will be the contact route in case the official technicians need to carry out extra verification or request more documentation. For this same reason, citizens are requested not to use this channel to check the status of their processing to avoid overloading the service.

If the process is completed successfully, a notice will be displayed at the top of the screen.

This service is accessible through the Electronic Registration service, where, in addition, if you have received a requirement, a notification, or wish to present documentation related to a document received from Social Security, you can do so.

Online safety in Social Security online services

Keep in mind that, through this method of submission, your letter or request will not be formalized in the Electronic Registration of Social Security and a receipt for your submission will not be generated.
