What is ENISA?

ENISA generally focuses on supporting innovative companies with high growth potential in sectors such as technology, digitalization, renewable energy and the circular economy.
1. Innovative Entrepreneurship Requirement:
You will meet this requirement if your company fulfills at least one of the following conditions:
a) Expenditure on Research, Development, and Technological Innovation: R&D&I expenditure must be at least 15% of total expenditure over the last two years.
b) To have been the beneficiary of public investment, financing, or aid for the development of R&D&I projects or innovative entrepreneurship in the last three years.
c) To have obtained an Informe Motivado from the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
d) To have obtained bonuses in Social Security contributions for the hiring of research personnel.
e) To have an Innovative SME seal, awarded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
f) Certifications issued by AENOR:
In accordance with the UNE 166.002 standard – R&D&I Management Systems, or
Small or Micro Innovative Company, or
Young Innovative Company.
g) Award or recognition (as winner or finalist) as an innovative company.
If your company does not meet the above-mentioned criteria, the certifying body will consider:
a) The presence of technological innovation, either in development or exploitation, which may be protected by industrial property rights or other rights such as protected software or know-how.
b) The presence of innovative aspects in products, processes, services and/or business models.
2. Scalable Entrepreneurship Requirement:
You will meet this requirement if your company meets at least one of the following conditions:
a) Degree of Market Attractiveness.
b) Stage of Company Life (time in development and commercialization).
c) Business Model (scalability, monetization, objectives, and nature of the investment and financing plan).
d) Competence.
e) Team (previous experience, training, and track record).
f) Contracts with suppliers and providers.
g) Customers (volume, concentration, and relevance of customers).

Residence for Entrepreneurs in Spain:
If you want to establish yourself and work in Spain through a business activity, you can opt for the Residence for Entrepreneurs.
This authorization is designed for foreigners from outside the European Union who wish to develop or manage an innovative business activity of special economic interest in Spain. With this authorization, you will be able to reside in the country for a period of 3 years while you carry out your business project.
Requirements:
- Be a non-EU citizen (outside the European Union).
- Not to be in an irregular situation in Spain / Not to be banned from entering Spain.
- Demonstrate sufficient financial resources for yourself and your family members (if applicable).
- Have public or private health insurance valid in Spain.
Documentation:
- Business Plan for the Enterprise Project: Detailed presentation of the business plan, including information on the planned investment, the economic and social impact of the project, among other aspects. The entity responsible for evaluating it will be ENISA. What are the necessary criteria to obtain a favorable report?
- ENISA report with favourable resolution.
- MI-T form to apply for a residence permit.
- Valid passport.
- Criminal Record Certificate.
- Proof of health insurance.
- Pay the corresponding fee by means of Form 790 - Fee 038.
After 1 month from the favorable notification, you will have to apply in person for the Foreigner Identity Card (TIE).
