What is an ICT Visa?
The Intra-Corporate Transferees Visa (ICT) is a special permit allowing non-EU nationals to reside and work in Spain through intra-company transfers. This visa facilitates the mobility of executives, specialists, and trainees within multinational companies, enabling them to work at a company’s branch or subsidiary in Spain.
This visa also benefits the employee’s immediate family, providing residence permits for spouses and dependent children, work authorization for spouses in some cases, and access to education and healthcare for all family members. This ensures a smooth transition and stability for the family during the transfer.
The visa duration is up to 3 years for executives and specialists, and up to 1 year for trainees, with the possibility of renewal.
Requirements to Apply
Provided by the Employer:
- Company Certification: A statement justifying the need for the transfer and its duration.
- Employment Contract: A valid contract with the home company, detailing the terms of employment.
- Proof of Qualifications: Documents proving the employee’s qualifications and expertise.
- Financial Means Proof: Evidence that the company can support the employee during their stay.
- Criminal Record Certificate: Issued by the employer, confirming the employee's clean criminal record.

- Visa Application Form: Completed and signed.
- Valid Passport: Original and copies of all pages.
- Passport-sized Photos: Recent color photos meeting visa photo requirements.
- Health Insurance: Proof of health insurance covering the stay in Spain.
- Medical Certificate: Confirming the employee is free of infectious diseases.
