What is Cl@ve PIN?
Cl@ve PIN is one of the main forms of identification when carrying out online procedures. Through this system, we obtain a temporary code that allows us to identify ourselves, communicating said code either through the app or by message, with a validity of 10 minutes, so if it expires, it will be necessary to request another security code.
Also, the code is valid for a single session, this means, it only works until we log out of the website or app where we are carrying out the procedure and subsequently, it will be modified each time we log in to carry out a process.
The main objective of Cl@ve PIN, according to its own presentation description, is that Spanish citizens can identify themselves to the Administration using passwords that they do not have to remember, generating security and confidence in the user.
How do I use the Cl@ve PIN app?
The Cl@ve PIN app is completely free, without advertising, and is downloaded directly from the Play Store or App Store. Just by opening the Cl@ve PIN application, it will indicate that we need to be registered to be able to use it, as we have indicated at the beginning of this blog.
The Cl@ve PIN installation can be done on all the devices you want, even if the PIN arrives by text message to the SIM device registered in the database, we can see and copy said PIN from the app.
To start using the app, we will have to enter our DNI and its validity date (If we have NIE, the support number will be requested), when entering the data, a biometric identification system will be required (the fingerprint reader) an activation code is subsequently received to safely start the application on the device.
Once activated, the app interface is very simple. The home screen shows us whether or not we have a valid PIN. If we do not have it, they tell us that we must access the procedure we want to carry out.
When selecting Cl@ve PIN as the access method to carry out a procedure, the following steps must be taken into account to create your new Password and be able to use it during your procedure:
- We access the process online (in the app or website).
- We chose the Cl@ve system to access it.
- We enter our ID and its expiration date.
- Click on ‘”obtener PIN” (get PIN).
- The PIN will arrive both by SMS and by the Cl@ve PIN app.
- We enter the PIN in the procedure and log in.
As you can see, it is a very useful tool to access certain online procedures or enter government applications, quickly, easily, and safely, so it is an excellent option to have it installed on your mobile. The process takes a few minutes, but it is worth it.
