Retirement pension in Spain
The retirement pension in Spain is a contributory economic benefit offered by the public Social security system to people who have reached a certain age and have contributed for a minimum number of years.
Requirements to apply
Regular retirement (full pension)
- Be 65 years of age or older.
- Have contributed at least 37 years and 9 months.
- Within the 15 years prior to the application, at least 2 years of contributions must have been paid.
Retirement with reduced pension
- Be 66 years and 4 months old.
- Have contributed for at least 15 years.
- Within the 15 years prior to the application, at least 2 years of contributions must have been paid.
