Are you eligible?
To apply for the Spanish Digital Nomad Visa you must first meet the following conditions:
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of work experience in the field or hold a Professional Degree related to the job position.
- You must have been working for your company for at least 3 months and have a contract of at least 1 year. Also, you need to have a written authorization to work remotely.
- Your company should be located outside Spain.
- Prove that your income from Spanish clients does not represent more than 20% of your total earnings.
- Have a minimum income level of at least €30.240 (and even more if you take your relatives with you).
- Have a clean criminal record and private health insurance with full coverage in Spain.

While it is true that you can apply online for the Spanish Digital Nomad Visa from your country of origin, you can also do it if you are already in Spain as a tourist.
You have the possibility to opt for this benefit but you will need to start a different application process than the one you completed for the Digital Nomad Visa visa in order to be considered a non-resident for tax purposes.
