so important?\u00a0The <em>Padr\u00f3n Municipal<\/em> is the\u00a0<strong>administrative record<\/strong>\u00a0that is kept in the town halls or citizen offices of the municipality, it\u00a0<strong>includes all the neighbors who live or usually reside there<\/strong>\u00a0and contains\u00a0<strong>personal and residence data<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the law, every person living in Spain <strong>must\u00a0register<\/strong>\u00a0in the city, province, or autonomous community where they reside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, when people carry out this procedure, many are often\u00a0<strong>confused<\/strong>\u00a0by not knowing when to request an\u00a0<strong>empadronamiento certificate<\/strong>\u00a0and when to request a\u00a0<strong>registration flyer <\/strong>(also known in Spanish as class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The padr\u00f3n municipal\u00a0<strong>accredits the time spent in Spanish territory<\/strong>, regardless of nationality or legal status (whether or not you have residence or are in process).\u00a0The Empadronamiento registration accredits you as a resident of the municipality where you live in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the Empadronamiento certificate?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As its name says, this certifies\u00a0<strong>residence and habitual domicile<\/strong>\u00a0and is requested in\u00a0<strong>cases<\/strong>\u00a0in which it must be presented to the\u00a0<strong>following organizations or procedures<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Judicial organizations (courts and tribunals).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Military organizations or foreign authorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Civil Registry (marriages, nationality, changes of name and\/or surname and adoptions, etc.) Declarations of heirs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other Official Records, Penitentiary Centers, Customs Directorate, SEPE, Universities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Residence by Arraigo (it is necessary to prove three years of residence).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognition of dependency situation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, some Spanish consulates can request a legalized\u00a0and apostilled <strong>Empadronamiento certificate\u00a0for family reunification<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This document is signed in original, it can be legalized and apostilled depending on the situation;\u00a0usually,\u00a0<strong>it is legalized at the municipality&#8217;s town hall<\/strong>\u00a0and apostilled at the Ministry of Justice.\u00a0In other words, this document\u00a0<strong>has much greater legal value.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the Registration Flyer (<em>volante)<\/em>?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, the Registration Flyer is an\u00a0<strong>informative document ONLY<\/strong>, which\u00a0<strong>indicates only the residence and habitual domicile<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0It can be obtained in\u00a0<strong>person<\/strong>\u00a0at town halls, by\u00a0<strong>post<\/strong>\u00a0or online using the Digital Certificate.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This flyer\u00a0<strong>does NOT have an original signature<\/strong>, it carries a stamp that is engraved on the application to prove its veracity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For some bureaucratic procedures such as\u00a0<strong>processing the fingerprint for the Residence Card<\/strong>, it will be enough to present the Registration Flyer in case you have changed your address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BEWARE!\u00a0When you want to submit an\u00a0<strong>application to the Immigration Office<\/strong>\u00a0or another entity, you must read carefully\u00a0<strong>what requirements they ask of you<\/strong>, whether the empadronamiento certificate or registration flyer, as the municipal administrations are usually very strict with the documentation of the procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
