EX09: Application for a temporary residence or stay permit exempt from a work permit"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Officially known in Spanish as: &#8220;Solicitud de autorizaci\u00f3n de estancia o residencia temporal con excepci\u00f3n de la autorizaci\u00f3n de trabajo&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through <strong>Form EX09<\/strong>, a permit to <strong>stay or reside temporarily in Spain<\/strong> is requested.&nbsp;However, the foreigner who is going to carry out a certain lucrative or professional activity for a period of more than ninety days is <strong>not obliged to request a work permit<\/strong> if they meet certain conditions we will mention below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Form EX09 includes the following types of permits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General case of residents outside Spain for exempted activities of more than 90 days (art. 117).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minors of working age under the guardianship of a welfare entity (art. 117.j).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holder of a residence permit for study, research or internship that ends in such condition (art. 199).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Holder of a previous residence, or residence and work authorization that ends in such condition (art. 200-203).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"nbspparaqusirve\">What is it for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is used to request a <strong>temporary residence or stay permit<\/strong>, with the <strong>exception of a work permit<\/strong> in cases where the applicant is: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Technicians, researchers and scientists, invited or contracted by the General State Administration, autonomous communities, universities, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professors, technicians, researchers and scientists invited or contracted by a Spanish university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management or teaching staff of cultural or educational institutions dependent on other States, or private of accredited prestige.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Civil or military officials of foreign state administrations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreign media correspondents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Members of international scientific missions carrying out work and research in Spain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Artists who come to Spain to carry out specific performances that do not involve a continuous activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Religious ministers and members of religious hierarchy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreigners who are members of the representative, governing and administrative bodies of trade unions and internationally recognized business organizations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreign minors of working age under the guardianship of a competent child protection service.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"quinespuedensolicitarlo\">Who can request it?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<strong> foreigner must request it personally<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"culessonlosdocumentosexigibles\">What are the required documents, in addition to Form EX09?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The documents that must be attached together with the application form are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A complete copy of the passport, travel title, or registration document with a minimum validity of 4 months.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documentation proving the case of exception to the work permit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are not a resident of Spain, you will have to provide a criminal record certificate and medical certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"dndedebepresentarselasolicitud\">Where should the application be submitted?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event that the applicant is a resident of Spain, they may present it at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.interior.gob.es\/opencms\/es\/servicios-al-ciudadano\/tramites-y-gestiones\/extranjeria\/oficinas-para-tramites-de-extranjeria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>Immigration Office<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;of the province where the work center is located or where the service will be provided.&nbsp;If the applicant is not a resident of Spain, they will have to present it at the <strong>Spanish Diplomatic Mission<\/strong> or <strong>Consular Office<\/strong> of their area of \u200b\u200bresidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
